As it relates to her educational and background, Merna Riley-desVigns is Doctoral Candidate in Health Administration from the University of Pheonix. She is currently has of a Master of Science in Human Resource Development and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Administration from the University of the West Indies, Mona Jamaica from 1998-2000 and 1997-1998 respectively.
In 2003 she received a Diploma in Training from the International Labour Organization and in 2009 she completed the Caribbean Health Leadership Certification from the Caribbean Health Leadership Institute. She has qualified and developed herself in many other areas such as Media Training, Public Sector Management, Financial Management for Non Accounting Officers—Budget Preparation, etc.
With over 27 combined years of experience in the fields of health and human resource management, of which over 7 years has been dedicated to lecturing in the areas of Nursing, Human Resource and Industrial Relation at the University level.
She has exceptional experiencing as a Consultant in Human Resource as well as Health Management, a Vice President as Human Resource Management and a CEO has given her the drive that she needs to impart her knowledge to the wider community of the Caribbean and Internationally.
With all her years of experience and training, Riley-desVignes remains a diligent and detail-oriented professional with exceptional critical thinking skills and excellent interpersonal skills; exhibits resourceful problem-solving techniques and is know for a high-level of integrity and ‘getting the job done’.She is committed to high quality in patient care, capacity building and organizational development
